Author of the Month (April): Menna Van Praag

Hello lovelies!!

My sister and fellow bookish peep has started doing a monthly “Author of the Month” on her blog & Facebook page. Instead of just reading one book, book club style… we’ll be dedicating an entire month to our author of choice. Learning a bit about their writing style, and really jumping into their catalog. Now — here on this blog, we’ll be covering other authors and books, as well. But I do plan to read quite a few of my chosen author’s books. So… without further ado…

Menna Van Praag writes magical realism, which is one of my very favorite sub-genres. I’ve had her books on my TBR for a couple of years now (ugh, I know… I KNOW!!) so I’m taking this opportunity to finally buckle down and read them. I have pretty high expectations for them, and I’m super excited to get to them.

Menna has just released The Sisters Grimm, and I’m so excited to read it.

However, I’ll be starting with the book that started my interest in Menna — the one I’ve had on my TBR for what feels like forever, and I’m

SO happy to finally be making the time for THE HOUSE AT THE END OF HOPE STREET. I really think I’m going to love it. I’ve also got THE DRESS SHOP OF DREAMS in my audiobook TBR, so I’m hoping to get to that one, as well. I’m looking forward to sharing my thoughts with everyone after I’m done, and exploring more from this delightful author.
