WWWednesday: #BooksAsOutfits

WWWednesday

I may be coming on this trend a bit late, but this week I’ve been fascinated by the #BooksAsOutfits hashtag on Twitter and Instagram. I’m so impressed by the creativity of some of these readers. So. Much. Fun!

Apparently, the #BooksAsOutfits thing has been going on for about 5 weeks or so (based on the posts I found while scrolling), but I only recently stumbled upon it in a friend’s Twitter share about a week ago. The idea is to dress in clothes that are reminiscent of the cover of a particular book. Using colors, shapes, or designs to copy, as much as possible, the artwork in the cover art. Some of the examples I saw were more exact than others, but I’ve loved seeing everyone’s interpretations. Here are a few of my favorites.

Even authors are getting in on the fun… here are a couple from Gail Carriger

So — have any of YOU done this social media challenge? I’d love to see what you came up with. If you have, leave me a link in the comments, so I can go check it out and share it on the blog’s platforms.

I’ve got lots of ideas, so keep an eye peeled for my contribution to the fun in the coming weeks.
